Scott A. Walter, MD
Dr. Walter grew up in Jamestown, New York. He completed his dermatology residency at Boston University, where he was elected Chief Resident. Dr. Walter has published multiple articles in several peer-reviewed journals. He also has written some textbook chapters on medical dermatology and pediatric alopecia. His clinical interests include acne and acne scarring, preventative dermatology, photoprotection and ethnic skin. He did his surgical and aesthetic preceptorship with our own Dr. Cohen through the American Society of Dermatologic surgery (ASDS) preceptorship program in the fall of 2017, and we liked him so much that we hired him. Dr. Walter is also committed to dermatology education and enjoys teaching other physicians and residents.
Dr. Walter received a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Rochester graduating Magna Cum Laude. He then attended medical school at the University of Rochester, where he developed his interest for dermatology. Throughout his training, he has received numerous awards and competitive scholarships which have helped shape the physician he is today.
Outside of work, Dr. Walter enjoys snowboarding, hiking, exploring new restaurants, photography, drawing, painting and traveling the world.
