Joel L. Cohen, MD FAAD, FACMS

Dr. Joel L. Cohen is an internationally recognized expert on aesthetics. He has led global task forces on lasers, energy-based devices and injectable aesthetic treatments. He has been an author of over 324 medical articles and book chapters. Dr. Cohen has also co-authored 3 hard-cover academic textbooks (including being the lead author on one of the largest books on Botox and other botulinum agents). He is the Director of AboutSkin Dermatology and Aesthetics, as well as AboutSkin Research in metropolitan-Denver, Colorado.

Dr. Cohen has been named a Top Doctor by US News and World Report, as well as Castle Connolly 14x and 12x Top Doc in Denver Magazine (called 5280, named for the altitude of the Mile High City). He is a Board-Certified Dermatologist, and is Fellowship-trained in Lasers, Aesthetics Dermatology and Mohs/Dermatologic Surgery.

He is on the teaching faculty of the University of California Irvine as an Associate Professor of Dermatology – where he recently was voted “Faculty Teacher of the Year.”

Dr. Cohen has received many prestigious awards including the Melanoma Research Foundation Humanitarian of the Year Award, the American Society of Dermatologic Surgery (ASDS) Public Service Award, the ASDS Patient Safety Hero Award, the ASDS Excellence in Education Award, The ASCDAS Distinguished Service Award and the ASDS Traveling Mentorship and Teaching Award. And he has received the Journal of Drugs in Dermatology Career Achievement Award.

Dr. Cohen has been quoted in many newspapers and magazines including Vogue, TIME magazine, Glamour, Elle, Allure, The New York Times (x4), Reader’s Digest, Shape, Consumer Reports (x9), etc. And he has recently participated in ringing the closing bell at the New York Stock Exchange after giving a 10-minute presentation in the NYSE Board Room on sun-protection innovation.

Samantha G. Stoler, MD

Samantha G. Stoler, MD, is a Board-Certified Dermatologist who has been with AboutSkin Dermatology and DermSurgery since 2011. She is also a fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology and a member of the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery. She has previously been awarded a Patient’s Choice award in Chicago. Dr. Stoler completed her dermatology residency at Cook County Hospital in Chicago, Illinois.

Stephen C. Ho, MD

Stephen C. Ho, MD, is a Board-Certified Dermatologist who joined AboutSkin in 2012 after practicing in Boulder County for more than 12 years. He has a wide interest in the field, including medical, surgical, and cosmetic dermatology. He is a fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology, and a member of the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery, Skin Cancer Foundation, and American Society for Laser Medicine and Surgery.

Brooke E. Rothstein, MD

Brooke E. Rothstein, MD, has joined AboutSkin Dermatology, as a board-certified dermatologist. A native New Yorker, Dr. Rothstein grew up on Long Island. She completed her undergraduate and medical training in Boston. She received her bachelor’s degree from Tufts University, where she graduated Summa Cum Laude and Phi Beta Kappa.

Jelena Eddy, PA-C

Jelena Eddy moved to Colorado Springs when she was in the fourth grade. She graduated with a Bachelor of Science in human biology from the University of Colorado, Colorado Springs, in 2010. Jelena then attended one of the nation’s top-rated physician assistant programs at the University of Colorado, Denver. She graduated with her Master of Science in 2015. Jelena spent seven years in family practice, gaining valuable experience. She transitioned into Dermatology three years ago, allowing her to merge her previous knowledge with her passion for skin. Jelena’s dedication to outstanding patient care and contagious personality contributes to a warm and welcoming environment. With her blend of expertise and enthusiasm, Jelena is committed to delivering exceptional dermatologic care at AboutSkin.

Talitha Sarhan Licensed Aesthetician

Talitha Sarhan has been part of AboutSkin since 2019, bringing 15 years of experience as a seasoned Licensed Aesthetician. Her expertise spans lasers, microneedling, chemical peels, microdermabrasion, and dermaplaning.
